New in Temponia: pivot table reports and a faster week view

Temponia's latest release adds a drag-and-drop pivot table with charts and Excel export, plus a week view that lets you fill in a whole week of timesheets in seconds.

Getting hours in faster, and getting insights out faster

Time tracking has two halves: putting the hours in, and getting answers out. Our latest release speeds up both. A new week view turns timesheet entry into a few keystrokes, and a new pivot table report lets you slice your tracked time any way you like — complete with charts and Excel export.

The new week view: your whole week in one grid

For teams that track durations, the timesheet screen now opens on a week grid: one row per project and task, one column per working day. Only your company’s active days are shown, so a Monday-to-Friday team sees exactly five columns — no wasted space on weekends.

One grid for the whole week, with live totals per day and per project.

Entry is built for speed. Type 1:30 or 1,5 — both work — or nudge a cell up and down in 15-minute steps with the arrow keys. Every change saves automatically, so there is no save button to remember. Week totals and your billable percentage update live at the top of the screen while you type.

A few more details that make the difference in daily use:

  • Copy previous week — if this week looks like the last one, copy it in one click and adjust the numbers.
  • Add rows as you go — pick any project and task from the picker at the bottom of the grid.
  • Day view is one click away — switch whenever you need to add notes or more detail, and Temponia remembers which view you prefer.

Pivot table reports: turn hours into answers

Which client took most of our time last quarter? How did hours shift between projects month over month? Which tasks actually drive our profit? Questions like these used to mean exporting data and building a spreadsheet. The new pivot table report answers them in seconds, right inside Temponia.

Drag any field into rows or columns — here: hours per project, per month.

Every time entry comes in with its full context: client, project, task, user, billable and invoiced status, plus ready-made date groupings by day, week, month, quarter and year. Drag any of those fields into rows or columns and the table rebuilds instantly. For values you can pivot on hours, price, cost, profit or hour rate.

Numbers are only half the story, so charts are built in. One dropdown switches the same pivot between a table and bar, stacked bar, horizontal bar, line, area or pie charts.

When you need to take the data elsewhere, Export to Excel gives you both the pivoted view and the underlying rows in one workbook. There is a print-friendly layout for reports that end up on paper, and your pivot layout is remembered between visits — with a reset button when you want to start fresh.

Also new: let Claude or ChatGPT fill in your timesheet

If you missed it: Temponia now connects directly to Claude and ChatGPT, so you can log time and pull reports by simply chatting. Read how it works in our AI timesheet guide.
